NEWS FLASH - today is the LAST day to do early voting in Floyd County. Avoid crazy long lines next Tuesday and come on over to the old yellow-brick courthouse on 4th Avenue (behind Jefferson's) and vote - it's sure to be entertaining - I've already seen a witch, a bag lady, a "Black Eyed Pea" and a Kitty Cat voting here this morning. And it's only 10:30!
Today I am the proud mother of Optimus Prime (Transformer extraordinaire) and Hannah Montana. They didn't wear their costumes to school (against the rules) but we are looking forward to the Downtown Trick-or-Treat on Broad St. from 2-6pm.
I love Halloween. At one point in my life, and for many years, it was an anniversary of a first date. Tonight, I have a date with Optimus & Hannah, so that will be just as great. Did you know that the day after Halloween (All Hallows' Eve) is All Saints' Day? Very exciting.
I have to go work now - alas. But I hope you all have a creepy crawly kind of day ;)

Yep. On Broad St. around 3:30 or 4pm. We may hit a friend's neighborhood after that - we don't live in a t-or-t friendly area.

Well - most recent SO - Halloween, 1995 @ Denny's. Excitement. I was 18. I actually have been "out" some recently, but I wouldn't qualify the events as "first dates" nor would I qualify the attendants as "significant others"...

Hmm...I'd want to do something fun like go to a football game (The AU/UGA game is coming up next weekend...) - or hiking at Berry or something. Sushi is also good...or Ballenger's...mmmm. Who? Well, I hate to name names...but there are a few potentials.

ReplyDeleteRight now I'm just wearing my Colts shirt... but I don't dress up for Halloween... stems from a bad experience as a child... my sisters dressed me up as a girl for like 3 years straight...

My kids are... we go to my sister-in-law's house and do their subdivision.

First real date was supposed to be going out to a movie... but it was like -20F so her car was frozen solid... so we stayed at her dorm room and watched Hook.

There's this really hot woman, but she's a long ways away... If I were to take her on a first date would probably be dinner... followed by a coffee shop or someplace where we could talk...
